Preston North End’s 2026/27 Championship campaign begins at home to Burnley on 5th December

Preston North End will start their 2026/27 Championship season with a home fixture against Burnley on Saturday 5th December, as the full fixture list for the upcoming campaign was revealed. The Lilywhites, who finished 14th in the 2025 Championship table with 60 points (15W-15D-16L), will look to build on their recent form (LWLLW) as they prepare for the new season.

Key fixtures to watch

The first East Lancashire derby of the season will take place on November 21st when Preston host Blackburn Rovers at Deepdale. The reverse fixture is scheduled for February 6th at Ewood Park. Other notable fixtures include a trip to newly promoted Lincoln City on October 24th and a home game against Southampton on December 9th.

Festive period and final stretch

Preston will face a busy festive period, with matches against Stoke City (home, December 19th), Bolton Wanderers (away, Boxing Day), Lincoln City (home, December 29th), and Sheffield United (home, New Year’s Day). The season will conclude with an away trip to Birmingham City on May 1st.
