Preston North End in Transfer Tussle for Hull City Star Cody Drameh

Preston North End are among the Championship trio interested in signing Hull City's promotion-winning right-back Cody Drameh, with the defender's future at the MKM Stadium uncertain. Drameh, 24, has just one year remaining on his current deal with the Tigers, and with Lewie Coyle already ahead of him in Sergej Jakirovic's plans, he may fall in the pecking order next season.

Why Preston North End Want Cody Drameh

Preston North End can boast each of Odel Offiah, Brad Potts, and Pol Valentin in the right-back/right wing-back position, but head coach Paul Heckingbottom is still clearly not satisfied with that area. The Lilywhites look to Drameh to fill the void left by Kaine Kesler-Hayden's lack of presence on that right flank last season at Deepdale.

What Comes Next for Cody Drameh?

A £3.5 million deal for Ipswich Town's Harry Clarke was reportedly agreed over a week ago, but that deal has seemingly gone cold, as the Potters look to Drameh as an alternative, having held an interest in the defender last January. With Preston North End and Millwall also in the mix, Drameh's future at Hull City is becoming increasingly uncertain.

Recent Form and League Standing

Preston North End currently sit 14th in the Championship, 35 points behind leaders Coventry, with a goal difference of -7. They have scored 55 goals and conceded 62 so far this season, with their last result being a 1-3 loss to Southampton on May 2nd. They are set to face Bolton away on August 15th in their next fixture.
